Key November 2025 Tax Deadlines for Individuals

As the autumn season wanes and the holiday festivities commence, it’s crucial to keep abreast of impending tax deadlines to avoid any penalties or oversights.

November 10 - Report Tips to Employer
An important date approaches for employees earning tips. If you received in excess of $20 in October 2025, it’s mandatory to report these amounts to your employer using IRS Form 4070 by November 10. Employers will then withhold appropriate FICA taxes and income tax from your wages. Should your regular earnings be inadequate to cover these withholdings, the discrepancy will be noted in box 8 of your W-2 form, and you’ll need to reconcile it when filing your annual tax return. Understanding Weekends & Holidays
In instances where a tax due date coincides with a weekend or a legal holiday, the deadline is extended to the following business day. This rule helps taxpayers avoid the hassle of missed deadlines simply due to the calendar.
